This is a map of where I've been throughout Thailand!

So this weekend, I was in Chiang Mai which is in the north of Thailand. It's one of the most important cities in Thailand for trading reasons. Chiang Mai is around... 9 hours from where I'm staying and we went by van. Long journey to say the least.
Itinerary (not official):
July 7
5:30 - get in van
8:30 - breakfast
10:30 - stop at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang in Lampang, horse carriage riding
12:30 - have lunch
1:15 - elephant show and riding at Lampang Elephant camp
4:45 - arrive in Chiang Mai
5 - eat french fries & get coffee (comfort foods)
6:30 - dinner
8 - walk around "walking street"
10 - volunteer meet up and hang out
July 8
8 - breakfast
9 - visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai
10:30 - visit ban tawai (handicraft village)
1:30 - have lunch
3:30 - roadside market
10:45 - back in Taphan Hin
Though it may not appear so, it was a very packed trip. We were almost constantly doing something. However, I had a great time. Chiang Mai is cool and dry (ok dry is an exaggeration). Either way, it was a nice break from Phichit and its intense heat.
When I was in Chiang Mai I picked up a painting of Buddha and a pillow. Random but super interesting.
Food in the north is different than food in Phichit. A lot of fried pork and fried things in general. Fewer curries, no pad thai, and more sausages. I kind of like food in Phichit better because I love Thai curry!
I'll try to post pictures ASAP!
